Police look for suspect in Alcona theft investigation

Police say he reached into a cash register, grabbed a quantity of bills, and fled in a grey pickup truck

INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing for the public's help in solving a theft at a store in Innisfil.

On Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 around 4 p.m., a suspect entered a store on Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona and asked for several dollars to be changed to quarters.

As the clerk complied, (it is alleged that) the suspect reached into the open register and grabbed a quantity of bills. He left the scene in a 2003-2004 grey Ford 150 pickup truck.

The suspect is described as:
    •    white
    •    25-30 years old
    •    about 6'4"
    •    skinny build
    •    fair-haired
    •    goatee
    •    wearing jeans, snowmobile boots, bright blue hoody with a black, down-filled vest and a black toque

Anyone with information regarding this theft or the suspect's identity is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
