Police investigating after body pulled from Holland River

The South Simcoe Police Service is investigating after a body was discovered in the Holland River in Bradford.

On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the South Simcoe Police Service was called regarding the discovery of a body in the Holland River towards Cooks Bay in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Marine One was dispatched to the scene and the body of a man was recovered and brought to a marina in Gilford.  

The coroner attended and the body was subsequently transported to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.  

Police are trying to determine the man's identity. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
