South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking witnesses following the death of a dog from suspected poisoning in Innisfil.

On Sunday, March 7, 2021, police were contacted by the owner of a dog that had died of suspected poisoning. The dog’s owner had recently taken him on walks in the Webster Boulevard and Prince Court area. However, the source of the suspected poison and location of the incident are undetermined.

The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking anyone who observed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward. Police are also warning pet owners and parents to be extra vigilant and ensure that your pets and children aren’t eating anything found on the ground.

Investigators would also like to hear from people whose pets may have fallen ill recently in unexplained circumstances.
