The South Simcoe Police Service is seeking the public's help to identify two suspects linked to multiple thefts throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, police were dispatched to a gas station on Highway 89 near Highway 400 in Innisfil for a gas drive-off. A black/dark grey Honda Civic pulled up to a pump where a male suspect is seen pumping gas before promptly leaving, [allegedly] making no attempt to pay. A male passenger remained in the vehicle.

Police determined that the licence plates on the vehicle were reported stolen and that the two suspects are linked to at least two other stolen vehicles across the Greater Toronto Area, as well other thefts of gas.

Police are releasing a security camera image in an effort to identify one of the suspects. Anyone who recognizes the male or has any information regarding this occurrence is asked to contact Const. Keith Causton at 705-436-2141, 905-775-3311, extension 1453, [email protected] or contact Crime Stoppers.
