Police execute search warrant at Innisfil home

Heavy police presence reported this afternoon in Hunter Street area

Details are scant for now, but a heavy South Simcoe police presence has been reported around Hunter Street in Innisfil.

The department confirmed via media release Tuesday afternoon that officers have executed a search warrant and are conducting an investigation at the residence, which is just south of the Webster Boulevard and Innisfil Beach Road intersection.

Photos from the scene show the department's forensic identification unit is on site.

“There is no concern for public safety at this time,” police stated in the release. “An update will be provided once the initial investigation is complete.”
