Police are appealing to the public for witnesses or video of an incident that took place in the city’s north end on Thursday night.

At about 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 13, an e-bike was travelling east on Livingstone St. East when it left the roadway at Celeste Drive and struck a hydro pole.

The 28-year-old driver sustained life-threatening injuries, and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

“At this point, the investigation is ongoing,” said Jennett Mays, communications co-ordinator with the Barrie police. “At this point, it looks like a single-vehicle collision. If anyone has video from the area or was in the area and has any additional information, we would be grateful to hear from them.”

If you witnessed this incident or have video from the area, please contact Barrie Police at [email protected].
