Barrie police have released this surveillance image of a pickup truck and its driver wanted in connection to a Dec. 5 crash on Kenwell Crescent in the city's south end.

Barrie police hope the public can help identify a truck involved in a south-end crash earlier this month.

On Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at approximately 3:35 p.m., police say an older-model red Chevrolet pickup truck was travelling westbound on Kenwell Crescent at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control.

The truck left the roadway and struck a tree in front of the home located at 14 Kenwell Cres., damaging the tree and a stone garden that surrounded it.

The driver fled and the truck was last seen going eastbound on Kenwell Crescent, in the area of Marsellus Drive and Mapleview Drive West.
