On Nov. 16, 2017 at approximately 8:45 a.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a break and enter to a pharmacy in Bradford.
Investigation has revealed the following. Sometime during the night of Nov. 15 to Nov. 16, 2017, unknown persons broke in to a vacant store front next to the pharmacy.
Once in the vacant store, the culprits were able to break into the pharmacy by breaking a hole in the wall giving them access to the pharmacy.
While in the pharmacy the culprits were able to access the safe where the narcotics were stored. A quantity of prescription drugs were taken. An inventory on the stolen drugs is still being completed. The culprits also removed a quantity of cash from the till. Investigation is still ongoing.
South Simcoe Police is cautioning members of the public about the possible fatal consequences of taking medications that are not prescribed specifically to you. The medications can be lethal if taken by an individual who may be unaware of the effects or dosages that may be ingested.
If anyone has information that would assist this investigation they are asked to contact the South Simcoe Police or Crime Stoppers.
