A busy weekend of traffic enforcement resulted in more than two dozen speeding tickets. Other tickets were issued for a wide range of offences including:
  • Stunt driving
  • Drive while under suspension
  • Disobey stop sign
  • Distracted driving
  • Fail to properly wear seatbelt
  • Cannabis readily available
  • Two three-day licence suspensions at RIDE stops
  • Improper muffler

March 14 - 20 is National Impaired Driving Prevention Week. Crashes involving alcohol and/or drugs are a leading criminal cause of death in Canada. Fatigue and distraction are also causes of impairment. Drive sober, stay alert and slow down. Let's work together to ensure our roads are safe for everyone.
