Sex in the city took on a whole new meaning in Orillia earlier this week.

On Monday night, before the sun had fully set, provincial police say a person living on Atherley Road looked out their window and saw something unexpected.

"The complainant witnessed two people having intercourse on their front lawn," said Orillia OPP Const. Derek Tilley. "It created quite a ruckus in the neighbourhood."

Police say the male's "clothes were lowered and (he was) fully exposed."

As a result, OPP officers arrested Jody Ekman, 51, with committing an indecent act in a public place, which is a Criminal Code offence.

"The person did not live at the address and had no ties to this neighbourhood," said Tilley.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on Aug. 1 to answer to the charges.
