SPRINGWATER TWP. — Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene a fatal two-vehicle collision on County Road 90 in the Township of Springwater.
On Feb. 20, 2022, just after 5:45 p.m., Huronia West OPP and emergency services responded to a serious two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle on County Road 90 at George Johnston Road, in the Township of Springwater.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The passenger in the same vehicle was transported to local hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup truck and their passenger were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until family has been notified.
The intersection of County Road 90 and George Johnston Road will be closed for several hours as OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists complete their investigation.
