NEWS RELEASE
BARRIE POLICE SERVICE
*************************
There are less than two weeks left to complete the 2021 Community Safety Survey and we want to hear from you.

This confidential, anonymous survey asks a variety of questions about the public’s perception of safety within the City of Barrie. It also looks at the community’s view on the Barrie Police Service’s accountability, approachability, and resources.

The survey is available online and takes just minutes to complete. Share your feedback on the top issues facing your neighbourhood, how safe you feel in various locations during the day, and at night, and your confidence in and perceptions of the Barrie Police Service.

The survey also notes that the Barrie Police Service is seeking community volunteers. Throughout the year we will be conducting one-on-one interviews and/or focus groups for various projects to learn more on areas of success, growth, equity, diversity, inclusion, and improvement. If you are interested in being part of this or have additional questions please email [email protected].

Visit BarriePolice.ca/Survey to complete the 2021 Community Safety Survey today!.

The Community Safety Survey will be available until Dec. 17, 2021.

Results are reported in the Barrie Police Service’s Annual Reports and Strategic Plans. Feedback from the 2020 survey has led to the creation and tasking of the Community Safety and Well-Being Team pilot project, as well as new traffic enforcement initiatives.

More details on 2020 Community Safety Survey results are available in the 2020 Barrie Police Service Annual Report, which is available online at BPSAnnualReport.ca
