A home invasion in the city’s east end Friday sent one person to hospital.

Police are investigating the incident and there is no word on an arrest.

Barrie police received a call at around 1:30 p.m. about a home invasion that took place in the area of Penetang and Duckworth streets.

Communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays told BarrieToday one victim received non-life-threatening injuries and is being treated at a local hospital.

“This incident is believed to be isolated, and police believe there is no risk to public safety,” said Mays.

When asked if there were any arrests, Mays only said, “The investigation is still ongoing,” but added police would share more details when possible.
