One from Barrie charged after break and enters in Collingwood

Police say two businesses were broken into and suspects made off with cell phones, tablets, and lottery tickets

Members of the Community Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of front line officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged three persons as a result of an investigation into break and enters which took place on Hurontario Street last week. 

The two break and enters took place shortly after 1:00 a.m. on March 12 2021 where two businesses on Hurontario Street were broken into and the suspect(s) made off with numerous items including cell phones, tablets and lottery tickets. 

Investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a residence on Saint-Marie Street in Collingwood where three individuals were arrested and charged for related offences, charged are: 

37-year-old Kyle Hughson of Barrie, he is charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. 

34-year-old James Jamieson of Collingwood, he is charged with fail to comply with probation order. 

33 year-old Holly Love of Collingwood, she is charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of property obtained by crime.

They are to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on April 13 2021. 

Investigation is ongoing.
