INNISFIL -  A 22-year-old Barrie woman is charged with impaired driving following a vehicle stop at Innisfil Beach Park in Innisfil.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 around 1 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers observed a vehicle parked and running in the parking of the park located on Innisfil Beach Road.

Police located a woman in the front driver's seat. Officers detected an odour of alcohol, marijuana and other signs of impairment.

The woman was arrested for impaired driving and transported to North Division. Breath tests resulted in readings of well over the legal limit of alcohol.

The woman was charged with impaired driving, over 80 and novice driver blood alcohol concentration above zero.

Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days. She was released with a future court date.
