Motorist charged with stunt driving in Oro-Medonte

Police say the driver was going 152 km/h in a 90 km/h zone

A Markham resident was charged with stunt driving in Oro-Medonte Sunday.

Ontario Provincial Police say an officer pulled over a driver that had been going 152 km/h in a 90 km/h zone in the northbound lanes of Highway 11.

The 22-year-old was charged with: 

  • Adult Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform stunt - Excessive speed

The driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days and the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.

“Drivers and members of the public are reminded to respect our communities, comply with all laws, and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighbourhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions,” said OPP in a news release.
