Barrie Police were able to arrest a male after he confessed to stealing a television from Walmart and leaving in a vehicle registered back to an address down the street.

On Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 7:07 p.m. the male suspect exited the Walmart located at 450 Bayfled Street, in the City of Barrie, with the television in hand.  Lost Prevention Officers were able to obtain a licence plate which led Barrie Police Officers to an address on Kozlov Street.  The owner of the vehicle was unaware of any suspicious activity his vehicle was involved in but it did not take long for his friend to fess up to the crime.

The 33-year-old Everett male was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The male was held at the Barrie Police Service for a bail hearing Sunday as he had recently been charged with Theft Under $5,000 in both February and April 2016.
