On Saturday, January 13, 2018, around 6:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to an Innisfil pharmacy for a report of a theft that occurred on Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Theft under $5,000

INNISFIL - On Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, around 6:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to an Innisfil pharmacy for a report of a theft that occurred on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018. Two males entered the store around 3:50 p.m.. An employee sees one male filling a basket with a number of items and the other taking razors from the shelf and placing them into his coat. The two males were seen leaving the store together, a short time later, making no attempt to pay for the items.

Suspended driver

BRADFORD - On Sunday, Jan. 14, near the lunch hour, a South Simcoe Police Service constable was patrolling Bradford. He checked the licence plate on a passing vehicle and learned that the owner of the car was suspended. The officer stopped the car and identified the driver. A 59-year-old Bradford man was charged with drive under suspension. He was given a court date in February.

Calls for service

Over the weekend, South Simcoe Police responded to 168 calls for service, pro-active traffic stops and community service events.
