Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers were dispatched shortly before 8 p.m., Sunday, to a Midland residence after receiving a call about a disturbance at the Frederick Street location.
Responding uniform officers located a number of persons at the scene that had been sprayed with a noxious substance believed to be a product similar to bear spray.
An upper-floor apartment was searched by investigators and a suspect was located.
Dylan Beasley, 20 years old, of Midland, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Administering a noxious thing with intent to annoy (four counts)
- Assault with a weapon (four counts)
- Mischief - destroy or damage property
The accused was released on an undertaking and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on March 18, 2021.
The victims were decontaminated at Georgian Bay General Hospital and released.
