Two teens arrested after man stabbed in dispute over dog sale in Vaughan

Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was stabbed and a woman was assaulted in a dispute over the sale of a dog last night in Vaughan, according to York Regional Police.

A search warrant was executed today at 12:45 p.m., at a residence in Toronto. Two suspects, a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old female, were taken into custody and will be facing charges, police said in a news release.

On Wednesday, July 21, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police were called to a home on Crooked Stick Road in Vaughan for a reported robbery. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult male victim suffering from stab wounds.

He was transported to hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The initial information officers obtained was that a male and female suspect met with a male and female victim regarding the possible purchase of the victims’ dog.

Investigators believe that a dispute occurred and the male victim was stabbed. The female victim was assaulted and her phone was taken. The dog was not harmed and was not taken.
