Man grabs tray full of scratch tickets, flees south-end store

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, a male suspect entered the Circle K located at 555 Mapleview Dr. W. in the City of Barrie and didn’t buy any merchandise, but he did [allegedly] help himself to a tray of scratch-off lottery tickets from behind the counter.

After entering the store, the suspect selected a bag of milk from the fridge and brought it to the counter as if he intended to make a purchase.

Before the clerk could make their way to the counter, [it is alleged that] the suspect reached over, grabbed the tray full of tickets and fled out of the store.

The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Thin build, 140 to 160 lbs
  • 25 to 35 years old
  • Light-brown hair and facial hair

Wearing a white baseball cap with a red brim and the letter B in black writing, a black T-shirt with white writing, blue jeans and black and white skateboarding shoes.
