On Monday just before midnight, police were called to the GO Transit Station on Yonge Street in the City of Barrie after receiving reports of a male laying on the bus platform.
Upon arrival, police made several attempts to wake up the male, which quickly led to him becoming belligerent and aggressive with police. Further investigation revealed the male had been a suspect in several thefts and was wanted for failing to comply with his probation order.
The 23-year-old male was arrested and transported back to the station. While on route, the male began spitting throughout the back seat and violently kicking the back doors.
His behaviour resulted in a further charge of mischief under $5,000 and a second count of failing to comply with his probation order. He will appear in bail court Tuesday morning.
