An Orillia driver was charged with stunt driving this morning after being clocked driving 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone, police say.

An Orillia driver not only likely has an upset boss, he's going to be without his vehicle and unable to drive for a while.

Police say the 32-year-old man was late for work and caught speeding — clocked at 142 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h zone — Monday morning on Vasey Road. Police did not provide his name.

The driver is facing stunt-driving charges and had his car impounded. He will also be unable to drive as his licence has been suspended for 30 days.

He'll answer his charges in court at a later date.

"If you're late for work, then you are late, but don't endanger others," Southern Georgian Bay OPP posted on social media.
