Man faces assault and weapons charges

BRADFORD - On Aug. 21, 2017, a man (allegedly) assaulted his ex-girlfriend outside a Bradford bar. When passersby intervened, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife to keep them at bay. (It is alleged that) he then assaulted the victim a second time before she was able to escape.

By the time police arrived, all people involved had scattered. The victim reported the event to police at a later date.

On Sept. 14, 2017, the suspect was arrested by members of the community mobilization and engagement unit and held for a bail hearing. The 30-year-old Bradford man has been charged with two counts of assault, weapons dangerous, carry concealed weapon, three counts of fail to comply recognizance and breach probation.
