Licence plates stolen during dentist appointment

The plates were spotted on a car that was involved in an alleged theft of gas while police were taking their initial report

BRADFORD - South Simcoe Police were called to a Holland Street West business around 7:30 p.m. in Bradford for a report of theft of licence plates.

While a father and son were attending to an appointment at the dentist, unknown culprits attended their location extracting both front and rear licence plates. While the officer was on scene taking the report, police received a call for a theft of gas from a local gas station. The car involved had the complainant's stolen plates attached.

The vehicle is described as a grey/silver Chevrolet Impala bearing the stolen plates BXXC 808. The driver is described as male, white, approximately 5'9" with a heavy-set build wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and khaki cargo pants.
