Innisfil woman, 73, charged with impaired in Alcona

Police say she blew twice the legal limit in a breath test

INNISFIL - A 73-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired driving and over 80 after police were called about an impaired driver in Alcona.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, around 5 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service responded to the area of Jans Boulevard and Innisfil Beach Road where a vehicle stop was conducted.

The driver was placed under arrest for impaired operation and transported to the North Division. Breath tests resulted in readings of over twice the legal limit. 

A 73-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired driving and over 80. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
