INNISFIL  An Innisfil business has been charged under the Reopening Ontario Act after South Simcoe Police Service and bylaw officers responded to numerous complaints about a non-essential business operating during lockdown.

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, officers attended the High Vibrations Dance Studio in Belle Ewart and served two Provincial Offences notices under the Reopening Ontario Act.

Information received by police and confirmed through investigation was that the business was open during lockdown and had no COVID-19 protocols.

The charges were laid after police issued a caution last week.

South Simcoe Police Service will continue to educate, and where necessary, enforce the stay-at-home orders to help keep our communities safe and to support our local health and by-law units. Everyone needs to do their part to ensure the stop of this deadly virus.
