The Bradford West Gwillimbury/Innisfil Police Services Board is staying the course on leadership for another year.
Chris Gariepy was acclaimed as chair for another term at the board’s regular meeting on Jan. 23, 2023.
Gariepy joined the police services board in 2019 as a provincial appointee and brings over 40 years of extensive business/entrepreneurial experience and community engagement to the role. He was elected vice-chair in 2020 and took the helm as chair on Jan. 26, 2021.
Gariepy will serve in the position until the board’s first regular meeting in 2024.
Municipal appointee Todd Canning was acclaimed as board vice-chair at the Jan. 23, 2023 meeting. Canning joined the board in January of 2021 and was elected vice-chair the following January. He is an Innisfil resident who is employed with the York District School Board as president of the education support workers’ union.
