On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10 p.m., Barrie Police officers were called to an address on Quail Crescent in the City of Barrie in regards to an (alleged) assault that had just occurred.

Reports indicate the male victim was a delivery driver and had attended an apartment complex to deliver food to a customer. When he could not gain access to the interior of the building, he called the customer to attend the front of the building to retrieve the food.

The accused male exited the building, (allegedly) upset the food was not delivered directly to his door, and (it is alleged that he) assaulted the delivery driver.

The victim received minor injuries that did not require immediate medical attention. A 28-year-old Barrie male was charged with assault and breach probation.

He will attend a Barrie court in May to answer to his charges.
