There were no people inside a vehicle when it became submerged in the Holland River in Bradford, Wednesday evening.
South Simcoe police say the driver jumped out as the vehicle was going into the river.
The driver is facing a careless driving charge.
No injuries have been reported.
Emergency crews were on scene at Canal Road and Pumphouse Road recovering the white Lexus vehicle that went into the river at around 7:30 p.m.
