CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES - Yesterday at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 35 just south of Rosedale.
The vehicle driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased was a 66-year-old male from Stouffville, Ont. The deceased name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
Highway 35 remained closed for approximately four hours. The OPP's Technical Collision Investigations Unit attended and is assisting in the investigation.
