On Dec. 14 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Midland Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on the east side of town. The investigation revealed the male suspect caused a collision and fled the scene. A short time later, police located the male.
Subsequently, the suspect was arrested and transported to the police station. The suspect registered almost three times the legal limit. He has been charged accordingly and has a Dec. 28 2017 court date in the Midland Court of Justice.
Charged: Oliver Thomas, 45 years of age, Midland, Ont.
Charges:
1) Care or control while impaired section 253(1)(A) Criminal Code
2) Over 80 mgs section 253(1)(B) Criminal Code
3) Fail to stop at scene of accident section 252 Criminal Code
