Convenience store robbed at knifepoint for second time in two weeks

The Circle K at St. Vincent and Penetang streets was robbed early this morning by a male wearing a distinctive green hat

A St. Vincent Street convenience store has been robbed at knifepoint for the second time in less than two weeks.

Barrie police were called to the Circle K store at the corner of St. Vincent and Penetang streets shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 11 after a man with a knife entered the store and robbed the nightshift clerk who was working.

A similar incident occurred in the early hours of April 1, when the assailant made off with an undisclosed amount of money and two packages of cigarettes.
