Collision leads to arrest of three robbery suspects

A fourth suspect remains outstanding

Barrie Police Investigative Services have arrested one male and two females following a robbery that occurred at College Heights Park located off Bernick Drive in the City of Barrie.

On Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 just before 4 a.m., police were called to Duckworth Plaza located at 330 Duckworth Street for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived they located and spoke with two victims who indicated the suspects fled the area in a motor vehicle. The victims provided police with a description of the suspect vehicle.

Shortly after, the vehicle was located at the intersection of Blake Street and St. Vincent Street after the driver had lost control and crashed into a nearby park.

Police have arrested three suspects and are currently looking for an outstanding fourth suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, black (18 to 20 years)
  • Thin build, 6’
  • Dark hair - dreadlocks
  • Dark goatee
  • Wearing white or beige pants, white long sleeved shirt, and has a sling on his right arm

Charges are pending and further information will be released as details become available.
