BRADFORD - South Simcoe Police received a call from a concerned citizen around 1 a.m. Sunday morning about a possible impaired driver.

A description of the man and the vehicle he was driving was provided, leading the officer to locate the vehicle at the corner of Northgate Drive and Parkside Court in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury with the driver behind the wheel.

While the officer was speaking to the male driver, a strong smell of alcohol was detected and signs of impairment.

A 34-year-old Toronto man was charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mgs. His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He will appear in court later this month to answer to his charges.
