SPRINGWATER TWP. - On May 18, 2021 members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a targeted patrol on Miller Drive in Springwater Township.

The focused enforcement was the direct result of numerous concerns expressed to police about neighbourhood safety, trespassing and the use of off road vehicles when not permitted.

In just one evening officers on patrol, in the Miller Drive area, laid charges under the Cannabis Control Act, Liquor Licence Act and the Trespass to Property Act. A prohibited weapon was also seized.  

Members of the Huronia West OPP would like to thank the public for the continued support in helping keep our communities safe by reporting crime of all sorts.
