Big white Ford smashes into electrical box

ORO-MEDONTE - On Friday Sept. 8, 2017 at approximately 9:52 p.m., a White Ford F350 was observed on Northwood Court, Oro-Medonte Township. The vehicle was doing donuts in the street when it struck an electrical box and left the area. 

A short time later this same vehicle was observed southbound on Line 2 stopped at the side of the road with damage to its front end. The vehicle was approached by witnesses, the drivers door opened and the male driver fell out of the vehicle.  

After investigation officers arrested and charged 20-year-old Ethan Mather of Grey Highlands with driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. 

The 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and the driver's vehicle was impounded for a period of 7 days. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Monday Sept. 25, 2017.
