Police say charges are pending following a vehicle rollover Sunday morning that saw an SUV end up on its side.
Barrie police got the call at 10:31 a.m., May 15, about a collision involving two SUVs at the Bayfield Street intersection near the entrance to Georgian Mall.
Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said the vehicle that rolled over was travelling northbound and turning left at the lights, heading into the Bulk Barn plaza. It was struck on the side by a southbound vehicle, causing it to roll over.
"There were minor injuries to the occupant of the rolled over SUV that saw them taken to local hospital for evaluation and none to the other vehicle’s occupant," Leon told BarrieToday. "We don’t often see a vehicle rollover in the city."
Leon said charges are pending and it appears the driver making the left turn did so unsafely.
