Barrie woman faces multiple charges after crash in Innisfil

The 32-year-old has been charged with impaired and dangerous operation of a vehicle and obstructing a police officer

The South Simcoe Police Service laid the following impaired driving charges from Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 to Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.:

On Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at approximately 10:49 p.m., police were called to the area of Innisfil Beach Road and  5 Sideroad in Innisfil for a two-vehicle collision. No one was hurt. One of the vehicles left the scene but was subsequently located nearby.

As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Anastasha Hill of Barrie was charged with two counts obstructing a peace officer, operation while impaired and dangerous operation. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for 45 days.

On Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police were called regarding a possible impaired driver travelling from York Region into Bradford.  
Police received a second call that reported the same vehicle had been in a collision on Holland Street and the driver had fled on foot. There were no injuries. The driver was located nearby and arrested for impaired driving and fail to stop. A 30-year-old Bradford man was turned over to York Regional Police officers.

On Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, just after midnight, an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically southbound on Simcoe Street in Bradford. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested. As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Tiago Da Silva Marques of Bradford was charged Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

On Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at approximately 8:20  p.m., police were called about a possible impaired driver travelling southbound on County Road 4 in Innisfi.
A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was arrested.  As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Gyulak Bednarik of Bradford was charged Operation While Impaired, Operation While Impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol, Open Liquor in the Vehicle, Cannabis Readily Available and Novice Driver BAC Above Zero. His licence was suspended for 90 days with the vehicle impounded for seven days.  

On Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a driving complaint in the area of Line 10 and Yonge Street in Bradford. Police located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and the driver was arrested. As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Michael Maran of Toronto was charged with Dangerous Operation, Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Excess Blood Alcohol.
