Barrie police seek to identify robbery suspect (4 photos)

Investigators with the Barrie Police Service are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect following a convenience store robbery.

On Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, just before 3 a.m., a suspect entered Circle K convenience store, located on Leacock Drive, in the City of Barrie, armed with a hand gun.

Video surveillance captured the suspect fleeing the parking lot in a pickup truck. Investigators are also looking for a second vehicle, believed to be a four-door white Kia. The vehicle was seen arriving minutes prior to the robbery and later fleeing the area with the pick-up truck.   

The employee was the only occupant and did not suffer any physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • 5’4”, medium build
  • Wearing a dark cloth or bandana over his face, baseball hat, white long sleeve shirt, grey “Roots” hoodie and blue jeans
  • Carrying a black handgun
