Barrie Police say officer grabbed in tenant dispute

On Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at 10:30 p.m. Barrie Police officers attended an address on Parkside Drive, in the City of Barrie, after a call from a landlord who was having a dispute with some of his tenants.  

Officers were able to resolve the situation and all parties appeared to be calm and cooperative, when one of the tenants grabbed one of the responding officers attempting to pull him from the house.  

The highly intoxicated 46-year-old Barrie man was arrested for assaulting the officer and brought back to the Barrie Police Service where he spent the rest of the night awaiting his bail hearing.
