Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Friday, June 24, at approximately 9:30 a.m., York Regional Police were called to the area of Highway 7 and Woodstream Boulevard for a report of a collision involving a transit bus and a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 34-year-old man from Barrie, was sadly pronounced deceased in hospital.

The driver of the bus attended hospital with a minor injury. Passengers on the bus were not injured.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision to please come forward.
