A Barrie man is in hospital with serious injuries after an altercation on Thursday evening.

He was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to a trauma centre, where he remains in serious condition.

Barrie police responded to the incident just before 9 p.m. on March 28, arriving at a Kozlov Street apartment complex in the city’s north end.

However, the altercation did not occur where police responded on Kozlov Street, according to Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon on Saturday.

“We have since located the scene, processed it, and our investigation remains ongoing,” he told BarrieToday.

BarrieToday will provide an update when further information becomes available.
