On Thursday, March 8, 2018, members of the Barrie Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested a 36-year-old Barrie man following a lengthy child pornography investigation.
In October of 2016, Investigators received a tip concerning the uploading of child pornography. A lengthy investigation led to the execution of several warrants and the seizure of six devices, which were forensically analyzed.
The accused has been charged with accessing child pornography, possessing child pornography and distributing child pornography. He will appear in a Barrie Court of Justice on Friday, March 9, 2018.
