Barrie Community Street Crime Units assist in investigation resulting in Orillia drug charges

ORILLIA - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged several persons in relation to drug trafficking in the City of Orillia.

On Feb. 07, 2018 Orillia and Barrie Community Street Crime Units (CSCU), Orillia OPP and Rama Police Service (RPS) conducted an investigation at a Memorial Avenue business in the City of Orillia, which led to the arrests.

During the investigation police seized Cocaine, Heroin, cannabis marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, a cross bow and paraphernalia associated with trafficking.

Police have arrested Janilyn Batac, age 29 of Milton and Jaiyden Jones, age 22 of Toronto and charged them with: possession of cannabis marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. 

Both of the accused have been released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of March 6, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.

Police also arrested 20-year-old Tiffani Wray of Brampton and charged her with: possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl possession of cannabis marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of recognizance. 

The accused was remanded into custody and set to appear on Feb. 9, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie for a bail hearing.
