Barrie canine unit responds for break-in at Bradford business

Barrie police involvement in investigation part of shared response pilot project with South Simcoe police

A Bradford resident is facing multiple charges after a break-in at a business on Holland Street early Monday morning.

At approximately 4 a.m, officers with the South Simcoe Police Service were called to a break and enter in progress.

When they arrived, police did not locate the suspect and the Barrie police canine unit was called in and tracked to a residence where the suspect was arrested while police were also able to recover the stolen property.

A 36-year-old Bradford man was charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

The Barrie police involvement in this investigation is part of a shared response pilot project with South Simcoe police.
