SPRINGWATER TWP. — Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huronia West Detachment, as well as Springwater Fire Department and Georgian Ambulance responded to a call for a collision at Sunnidale Road and Wilson Drive, just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 13, 2021.
Police arrived and located a vehicle that had left the roadway, however had not been involved in a collision. Numerous witnesses remained at the scene and spoke to police on their arrival. Subsequently, the driver was arrested at the scene.
Anthony Rhude, 32 years old, from Angus, has been charged with the offences of:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol & Drugs
- Dangerous Operation
The accused is scheduled to appear in Collingwood Provincial Court in January 2022.
