Suspect used bolt cutters to open a lockbox and access keys to the building

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, Barrie Police were called to an apartment building on Kozlov Street in Barrie regarding a break and enter after staff at the building noticed that a lockbox at the front of the building had been damaged and keys were taken.

Upon reviewing security footage, it was discovered that at approximately 2:25 a.m. on Nov. 15, an unknown female suspect entered the lobby and used a pair of bolt-cutters to gain access to the lockbox. She then removed the keys and used them to gain entry to the building’s inner lobby door. The video shows the suspect leaving the building through a rear door at approximately 2:48 a.m. It is not believed that anything was taken.

The suspect is described as:
    •    Female, white
    •    Aged 30-39
    •    Dark brown, medium-length hair in a ponytail
    •    Wearing a black puffy jacket over a grey hoodie, and carrying a large black shoulder bag
