Provincial police confirmed Friday afternoon they are investigating a suspicious death in Collingwood's Georgian Meadows subdivision.
The investigation began this morning at about 8:20 a.m., when officers discovered a woman dead inside a home.
Multiple police cruisers were parked near a home on Alyssa Drive, and officers were searching the area.
Initially, police issued an order for at least one Collingwood school — Mountain View Elementary School — to go into lockdown. The order was lifted within an hour.
