84-year-old Bradford man seriously injured in vehicle, pedestrian collision

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on the 24th of February 2018, the South Simcoe Police responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Police arrived and learned that an 84-year-old Bradford male had been struck by a westbound vehicle in the area of Holland Street West and Toronto Street.

The male party was transported by ambulance to South Lake Regional Health Center. Due to the extent of his injuries the male was transferred from South Lake Regional Health Center to a Toronto area trauma center. The roadway was closed for four hours while collision reconstructionists conducted an investigation of the scene and involved vehicle.

At this time police do not believe alcohol or speed to be a factor.

Police are seeking witnesses to the collision or any information regarding the events leading up to it. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Carl Jarvis #195 of the South Simcoe Police.
